SuperGroupies is releasing a number of collaboration items with Sonic The Hedgehog.

The Sonic series is a popular game series beloved all over the world, starting with "Sonic The Hedgehog" which was released in 1991 for the Mega Drive (Genesis in the US).

Players control the fastest hedgehog in history, a.k.a. "Sonic," and navigate through stages with various gimmicks just like a roller coaster. The game features a variety of stages, such as the grassy fields of "Green Hill Zone" and the starry "Star Light Zone," where players can fully enjoy the sense of speed that’s central to the gameplay.

The soundtracks for the first and second Sonic The Hedgehog games were composed by Masato Nakamura of DREAMS COME TRUE, and were a big hit. The high level of playability that’s accessible even to beginners along with its unique sound have won worldwide acclaim.

The "Sonic" series is so popular in Japan and overseas, especially in the US, that Sonic has been ranked as the 3rd most popular character in the US. In 2021, the series celebrated its 30th anniversary.
